Breaking into the Music Business with American Idol
Launching a Music Career with American Idol
There are people out there who dream of breaking into the music business and starting their careers as recording artists. What better way to do that than by auditioning for American Idol. The show, which will be in its fifteenth and final season, has launched the music careers of many aspiring artists who took part in this pop culture phenomenon.
The show made its first debut in the summer of 2002 and has launched the successful careers of such recording artists as Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta, Brooke White, Clay Aiken, Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, David Archuleta, and others. The show has proved that one does not have to actually win American Idol to have a recording career and even a successful one.
Over the years many contestants from each season, even those who didn’t make it to the Top 10/Top 12/Top 13, ended up signing recording deals with labels, whether major or independent, having their dreams, of recording and releasing an album, come true.
American Idol is the best platform for starting a recording career because it allows aspiring artists to build a huge fan base, which is necessary to land a record deal, and also have successful album sales. It also allows aspiring artists to showcase to the world what kind of recording artists they are and plan to be. On top of that, aspiring artists get the needed experience of performing in front of huge crowds of people in the audience, and the millions of people watching at home. They get to shoot music videos, and go on photo shoots, and more, and in the process they learn about what it takes to make it in the music business.
There may be other singing competitions out there, but American Idol is, by far, the best choice for aspiring artists. Even with the disappointing departure of Simon Cowell from the show I am pretty sure that American Idol will still be around for many many years to come, so anyone who wants to start a recording career should definitely take the time and audition for American Idol. That is one opportunity that cannot be passed up.
Over the years, many people across America have taken part in American Idol and as a result have broken into the music business, landing record deals, releasing albums, and having successful music careers. As recording artists, they have brought to life amazing music that has become a part of our lives, music that we connect with, music that we enjoy and cannot stop listening to. They have become American Idols, regardless of whether they won the show or not.
