Quench Your Thirst With Refreshing Lemon Drinks
By lovebuglena
If you have ever looked at the nutrition facts of juice drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages, you will find a long list of ingredients, some of which sound like they came from the lab and do not seem appetizing at all. While these drinks might not pollute your body, if not over-consumed, why drink them when you can enjoy fresh do-it-yourself refreshing non-alcoholic drinks that take little time to prepare.
When summer rolls around and it is hot outside, it is not a surprise that the body craves for some cold lemonade. It is refreshing, thirst-quenching, and delicious. And when it's cold out and you want to get warm, a hot cup of a lemon drink is soothing to have.
Here are a few simple do-it-yourself lemon drink recipes.
Lemon Honey Drink (one serving)
Ingredients: Lemon, Honey, Water
Step 1: Take a big fresh lemon, wash it, and cut in half
Step 2: Take an electric or manual juicer and squeeze out all of the juice from the lemon including the pulp.
Step 3: Pour the juice (with the pulp) into a cup and add about a tablespoon of honey.
Step 4: Add water to the cup and stir until all the honey is dissolved. You can either add hot water* (for a hot drink) or cold water (for a cold drink).
* Note that hot water will make the honey dissolve better and faster, so if you prefer a cold drink you can still use the hot water and just wait until the drink cools before drinking. But if you are really thirsty and can't wait for the drink to cool just use cold water, but make sure you are not left with clumps of honey in your cup before drinking.
Whether you have the lemon honey drink hot or cold you will find that it is refreshingly delicious.
Raspberry Lemon Drink (one serving)
Ingredients: pureed raspberries, sugar, water
Step 1: Fill a cup with cold water
Step 2: Add about a spoonful of pureed raspberries to the water and stir - if you do not have pureed raspberries put fresh raspberries and sugar (a cup of raspberries to about half a cup of sugar) in a blender on the puree setting.
Step 3: Squeeze a little lemon juice (from a fresh lemon) into the cup and stir
You can also substitute cold water for hot water if you crave for a hot drink. Doing this is also great when being sick with the flu. Drink a cup of the hot raspberry lemon drink and get under the warm blankets to sweat it out. You will feel a bit better afterwards.

How To Prepare Mushrooms In White Sauce
Mushrooms can make a delicious side dish to go along with meat, pasta, potatoes, rice, or other foods. When buying mushrooms from a supermarket, or fruit & vegetable store, make sure that they are firm and not slimy or spoiled. Once you have bought the mushrooms, try to prepare them right away, as leaving them in the fridge for too long, especially in a plastic bag, can cause them to spoil.
