Besides writing quality, I post links on Shetoldme,Redgage, Traffup and IMAutomator

Shetoldme and Redgage pay for your ppc's, Traffup just displays up to 10 links.

IMAutomator is a site for submitting you links to social sites
They are all free and Shetoldme is highly ranked by Google.

This is besides also using Facebook and Tweeter.

    hi lovebuglena,

I basically use social bookmarking sites to drive more traffic and through my followers. Having more fans also help to get more popularity on hubs. I send email to my friends and lovers to read and the topic.

Write interlinking content on a number of different sites and platforms then book mark all of them. I do this random as possible to make it look as natural and organic as possible.

Although this works very well it does take a lot of work and somewhat patience as you have to wait a while for each article or web asset to 'age' somewhat'.

The idea is to create a spider's web of content all linking to each other with your main niche article at the top, sort of like a traffic tunnel!

Although the best way to attract traffic especially to your primary content is to have highly valuable content that people cannot find anywhere else.

This often means you have to do a fair amount of in-depth research on your chosen topic to gauge what the benchmark is!

Highly effective 'On Page SEO' also helps a great deal as well!

I use SEO tools to make my hubs more recognized by google spiders which increases views... aka- high traffic/low competition key search words(tags)/phrases... name hubs the same as my top search word(tag) google likes it when your url is what people are searching for... bold my keywords (not all of them-or google can see it as spam)... use social media to post links...email the link to friends...and when it is an older hub-edit/change/add content (google likes fresh content) and then repost link to social media sources/post links to your hubs on sites that have a high PR ranking-this helps get up the search engines, which should increase traffic...all that is for external traffic (along with some other stuff like subject matter which isn't played out and making sure my content is original ALWAYS!). For internal site traffic-participate in the community, read other hubs/comment on those hubs_ use the forums to make yourself known- and place links on your hubs to other hubs you have written.

I agree, there are many tools that you can use. Formatting your blogs to suit Google and major search engines is key. However, I just wrote a short blog on Social Monkee...it seems good so far and is free for up to 750 backlinks per month.

Posting links, Twitter, get your friends and family on Facebook to check out your articles. Also Yahoo messenger, in the forums, CG and much more. There are endless ways to promote, you just have to learn about them. Google it and you shall prevail.

I always Tweet my articles that I have written here, and at other sites.  I often link the Hubs to articles at other sites.  In addition, I use SocialAdr and InfoPirate, and will begin putting them on SheToldMe soon.

I like SheToldMe and InfoPirate because they also pay Adsense revenue.

As my library of articles gets larger, I will interlink some of them, too.

Writing is a business and, like any business, we have to provide valuable products and advertise them!

I really don't have a clue about having to increase traffic besides,
    * Using effective keywords
    * Creating links from you page to a more popular page that has much to do with your blog.

I don't really focus on AdSense earning. I focus on promotion my book "Thoughts and Emotions: Past, Present and Future" at lulu.com and I just concentrate on sharing my opinions with the world. If I get traffic great, if not, I just don't sweat the small stuff!

And as far as promoting your hubs is concerned, go for traffup.

I do absolutely nothing and 100% Referring Sites does all the increasing traffic to my hubs for me. I have 26 visits and 45 Page Views and a ever total page views 3064 and 188 monthly views with an average 1021 views per hub for my 3 hubs along with 697 Page Impressions with Google Adsense. You must be patient with referring sites because it took them 2 months to find my article called " Daily Nuggets Moment AMBASSADOR BRANDON BUTLER " which got 0 traffic during those 2 months from June 2010 A.D. to August 2010 A.D. Just write it and they will hunt it down on the internet like they done with my article. The only thing I have done was to kick back and watch it take off and soar around the world through 100% referring sites traffic. This is awesome results for 3 hubs in 13 months and you can compare your 10's, 100's, 1000's of hubs stats with my 3 hubs with an average 1021 views per hub so far as of June 28, 2011 A.D. 100% Referring Sites, 0% Search Engines, 0% Direct Traffic that have increase traffic to my article called " Daily Nuggets Moment AMBASSADOR BRANDON BUTLER "

The obvious one is quality writing, and thorughness - proper tags, summary, etc. I also use a vast array of social networking sites, the most obvious ones being twitter, but there are also social networking sites for specific niches - I specialise in anime and bubblegum music so I am a member of Anihub, Gaia, and Myanimelist

I'm sure Reddit and Digg are pretty good ones too.

The other key is patience. I get pretty low traffic as well, partly because there are a lot of sites and blogs that deal with anime - so I have a lot of competition. But I also have a unique style and some interesting subject matters (comparing anime to plato?) that seperate me, and I hope that I will eventually be rewarded.

I guess is a combination of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), selecting a good niche and writing quality hubs. Additionally you could interlink to your own hubs inside the new ones, creating more traffic between them

You can do interlinking of your hubs with other hubs. When you publish a hub you can do bookmarking. There are  a lot of popular sites like digg, delicious, reditt etc etc.You can post your hub to other pages which has relevant content.Or it will be good if you can hire a SEO expert.

You should select interesting topic with attractive title and most importantly original content. If you select appropriate title with keywords, Google will quickly index your Hub and increase its visibility.

I write on topics that get people to think in a quality way.  In addition I post links to all my hubpages articles on my website.  In addition i also post a link on linkedin and post a comment on my twitter page.  This gives more individuals a chance to read the article by knowing about it from different sources in addition to hubpages.

I find that this has been working well as my website popularity in addition to my twitter is gaining followers almost daily.  The more exposure you create the more you become known for the talent and expertise you have.

In July I was only posting my hubs on Twitter and Facebook.  In August I started branching out - Reddit, Digg, StumbleUpon, RedGage - and started sharing with my followers (that's an option at the bottom of each hub) to help get more visibility.  In one month's time my Google income increased SIX Fold!  Now don't be upset.  I am still fairly new, but in July I made 25 cents and in August it rose to $1.49 but I believe I am on the right track to increasing traffic.  Also my daily views went from 8 a day to (gasp!) over 200 because I got 166 views for one freshly released Hub on the Reddit site.

I post links on Ciriya.com and Snipsly.com, which both share Adsense revenue as well, and if I have a high traffic hub, I'll use it and post links to other websites that I link off of Ciriya.com or Snipsly.com, which also greatly increases my shot at getting Adsense revenue.

other than writing quality hubs, do some marketing and use the power of social media. i found a website (similar to digg) called virtusa.co.za where users can share and discover the latest on the web. this site is a south african based social community and has some attractive features, best being an adsense revenue share model. so, you get 80% share by simply submitting your links and such. the more you post, the more you can earn : http://www.virtusa.co.za
